Board of Directors We're looking for volunteers to be board of directors for the Charity Christmas Party (CCP) 2008. Every year we recruit about 12-15 board members and about 100 general volunteers to help with the party. The board decide on the content of the party (entertainment, food, decoration), organise the general volunteers who will carry out most of the work (promoting the party, preparing decorations, food etc.), and decide where the proceeds will go. Board meetings are usually held bi-weekly from now until the party and general meetings once or twice a month. The party was started 20 years ago by a group of ALTs and local Japanese and the organising committee continues to be made up of both foreign nationals and Japanese. We want to continue the tradition so we're asking for your help. Being a board member does require time and effort but it is fun, you get to meet a lot of people and it's very rewarding. It also looks good on your resume! You don't have to speak Japanese or have previous experience. You won't be the only new member so don't feel shy about joining. The party will be in on Saturday December 12th from 6pm to 9pm at Bunka kaikan in Saga-city..
